The European Commission entrusts AISICO with technical support for Road Restraint Systems

The European Commission – Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) recently awarded the tender “Technical support to the Road Restraint Systems” (EC-GROW/2025/OP/0074).
The tender was awarded to an international consortium led by AISICO, in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, BASt and CEStra-Zert.
The assignment involves providing technical support for the revision and updating of the CPR 2024 Acquis in relation to road restraint systems. In particular, the project will include:
- the revision of the EN 1317 series of standards;
- the analysis of new requirements related to the evolution of the vehicle fleet;
- the collection and harmonisation of regulatory and technical requirements in the countries of the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland and Turkey.
For AISICO, this assignment represents a significant recognition of its technical and scientific role in supporting the European Commission and a strategic and direct contribution to the definition of the future regulatory framework for the road restraint systems sector.
