Bridges and viaducts
Bridge inspection using artificial intelligence technologies and software for data analysis and management.
Inventory surveys and inspections carried out by certified bridge inspectors and UAS operators, in accordance with the multi-level approach established by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) Guidelines and related operational instructions.

Conducting visual inspections using UAS and subsequent data processing through proprietary software based on artificial intelligence, aimed at identifying defects, creating a 3D digital twin model, data archiving in a BIM environment, determination of a weighted degradation index for assessing intervention priorities, evaluation of the structure’s state of deterioration, and use of integrated IoT sensors for real-time monitoring and predictive analysis of the structure’s behavior via a finite element model.
Ability to view images in real time on a monitor and to inspect specific areas—including those that are inaccessible—in detail and without risk. Creation of a realistic, scalable, measurable, and georeferenced 3D digital twin model of the inspected structure, which can be analyzed later on a computer to generate detailed photographic catalogs, conduct remote inspections, and identify any defects found.

The use of UAS also allows for aerial inspection of surrounding areas, enabling an assessment of the impacts on the structure under examination from waterways, vegetation, hydrogeological instability, road and rail intersections, etc. The creation of a BIM model of the inspected structure and the surrounding terrain allows for the storage and sharing of information across different software platforms and among the various sectors involved in infrastructure management. The generated 3D model can be continuously updated and used at every stage of the structure’s lifecycle.
